Former Maryland lacrosse standout Taylor Cummings signed with Under Armour Thursday, the Baltimore Sun reported.

Cummings won the Tewaaraton Award, given to the best college women’s lacrosse player in the country, three years in a row from 2014-2016. She graduated in the spring and then played in the United Women’s Lacrosse League.

Cummings is probably the most accomplished college athlete Maryland has ever seen, and she might be the greatest — or at least one of them — college women’s lacrosse players of all time.

Maryland only lost four times while Cummings was a part of the program.

“I just started my own company, Taylor Cummings Lacrosse, and I’m doing a bunch of clinics in areas that have (the sport) like Maryland and New York and Virginia,” Cummings told the Sun. “And I’m also going to the Georgias and the Michigans and Chicagos with the goal of spreading the game and starting a good foundation for girls.”

You’d be hard-pressed to find a more qualified teacher.
