The Maryland football team has indefinitely suspended three players, including starting running back Lorenzo Harrison, for violating the student athlete code of conduct, the team announced Saturday.

Harrison, wide receiver DJ Turner and linebacker Antoine Brooks will not be available for Saturday afternoon’s game against No. 6 Ohio State.

While the latter two have seen little action in their freshman seasons, Harrison has become one of the Terps’ top breakout players. He has amassed 663 yards and five touchdowns on 88 carries and is 56 yards from breaking the program’s freshman rushing record.

Harrison is one of five co-starters listed on the Terps’ depth chart, but he and running back Ty Johnson have shouldered the brunt of the touches this season.

Johnson will look to pace the group against the Buckeyes’ 15th-ranked rushing defense, while running backs Wes Brown, Kenneth Goins Jr. and Jake Funk will provide insurance in the backfield.
