COLUMBUS, Ohio — Maryland football quarterback Max Bortenschlager left Saturday’s game against No. 10 Ohio State with an apparent injury.

Quarterback Caleb Henderson replaced Bortenschlager as Maryland’s fourth signal-caller this campaign. Tyrrell Pigrome and Kasim Hill suffered season-ending ACL injuries earlier in the year.

Henderson, a junior who transferred from North Carolina, entered his first-ever game with the Terps. He was inactive for the first three games of the season with a foot injury he suffered during the offseason.

Bortenschlager took a third-quarter hit above the shoulders from cornerback Damon Arnette as he attempted to slide to the turf. Arnette was a assessed a 15-yard personal foul and ejected from the game for targeting.

Bortenschlager exited after struggling in the pocket, throwing 3-for-12 for 14 yards, and with Maryland trailing, 55-7.
