What to watch for Maryland: Turning the corner on turnovers?

While it was in a losing effort, Maryland finished a game in the single digits for turnovers for the first time all season against Purdue. The Terps only lost the ball seven times against the Boilermakers after averaging 20 turnovers per game in their prior three contests. Maryland still ranks 327th out of 351 teams in turnover percentage according to Kenpom, but the Purdue game could be a step in the right direction for the Terps to take better care of the ball.

What to watch for Illinois: Using their bench, a lot

Illinois has nine players who have played in at least 40 percent of their minutes so far this season. No one has played in more than 70 percent of their minutes this season, either. The Illini will be regularly rotating their players and will likely have fresh players on the court all game against the Terps.
