What to watch for the Terps: Kevin Huerter

You might not have noticed, but Huerter has become something of a star for Maryland. Through 15 games, the sophomore ranks seventh in the Big Ten in three-point shooting, knocking down 47 percent of his tries from beyond the arc. And with 83 three-point attempts under his belt, he's not just getting lucky.

Overall, Huerter is averaging 14.1 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game, solid yet unspectacular numbers. With Justin Jackson and Ivan Bender both out for the year, though, he could take on an even larger role alongside Anthony Cowan in the Terps offense.

What to watch for the Nittany Lions: Steals

Despite compiling an 11-4 record to this point, Penn State doesn't really stand out in the Big Ten in most statistics — with one exception. No other team in the conference has registered more steals than the Nittany Lions, who have snatched the ball away 9.4 times a game. That could cause some problems for a Terps team that's averaged a Big Ten-worst 16.5 turnovers per contest.
