What to watch for Maryland: Bruno Fernando’s shooting

In Sunday’s win against Mount St. Mary’s, Bruno Fernando became the only Mayland player since 2010 to shoot 100 percent from the floor with at least eight shot attempts. His 82.9 percent shooting percentage is good for first in the Big Ten and third in the nation. He’ll look to keep his efficiency up with plenty of dunks and other easy looks against Marshall.

What to watch for Marshall: Dynamic duo

Marshall has been led this season by senior guards Jon Elmore and C.J. Burks, who are averaging 23 and 21 points per game respectively. The trio are also taking more than 13 shots per game, while no one else on the Thunder Herd is averaging more than 8.3 shots. Additionally, in Marshall’s NCAA tournament upset of Wichita State last season, Elmore led the team with 27 points while Burks had 13. Marshall’s guards know what it takes to pull off an upset and have the talent to leave College Park with a victory.
