Andrew Terrell has been a beloved walk-on for Maryland men’s basketball dating back to 2015.

Now, Terrell has become a beloved scholarship player.

The reaction from Terrell’s teammates is quite heartwarming and shows he’s left quite an impression on the team during his time as a Terp. The video even got the attention of his former teammate, Robert Carter, Jr.

Terrell, a senior, has played in 23 games for the Terps during his time in College Park as of Friday, averaging 1.9 minutes per game and 0.2 points per game, with a current career high of three points, which came against Rhode Island in the 2015-16 season.

Of course, Terrell’s main contributions to Maryland haven’t come on the court. Terrell has made waving a towel on the bench his signature and is also the star of his own Youtube show.

This year, Terrell also added blogging to his resume, showing impressive versatility off-the-court.

Terrell has emerged as a fan favorite during his time in College Park for his humor away from the court and his energy on the bench. Now, he’s got a scholarship to show for it.
