On Wednesday, former Terp and current Atlanta Hawk Kevin Huerter posted his first career double-double against the Brooklyn Nets.

On Friday, Huerter one-upped that by scoring 29 points against the Philadelphia 76ers, leading his Hawks to a 123-121 victory in Philadelphia.

Huerter was 11-for-17 on his field goals, which included going 5-for-8 on threes. His biggest three of the night came with under a minute left to tie the game.

Huerter also picked up three assists, including a pass to set up Atlanta’s game-winning shot.

Of course, Huerter’s most impressive play of the night didn’t even count. You might wanna sign him up for your next H.O.R.S.E. tournament.

Huerter began his season slowly, starting only two of his first 18 games and averaging 5.5 points per game. However, he has now started 22 straight games and has been averaging 11.4 points per game during that stretch.

The pride of Clifton Park, New York, has played the sixth-most minutes among rookies in the NBA, seeing the court more often than lottery picks like the Chicago Bulls’ Wendell Carter and the Orlando Magic’s Mo Bamba.

Between Maryland’s win over No. 22 Indiana and this, Friday night was a good time to be a Terp.
