Quarterback C.J. Brown was 6-of-14 passing for 82 yards before leaving with a concussion in the Terps’ 63-0 loss to Florida State on Oct. 5, 2013.
Terrapins football quarterback C.J. Brown (concussion) is doubtful for Saturday’s game against Virginia, coach Randy Edsall said Thursday.
Brown suffered the concussion last week in the Terps’ 63-0 loss at Florida State in the second quarter on a hit by Seminoles nose guard Jacobbi McDaniel.
If Brown doesn’t start against the Cavaliers, sophomore Caleb Rowe is expected to take his place. Rowe relieved Brown against the Seminoles and completed 9-of-17 passes for 119 yards. Rowe made one start last year at Boston College and completed 23-of-42 passes for 240 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions in a loss.
Through five starts, Brown is 72-of-113 for 1,125 yards, seven touchdowns and one interception. He’s rushed for 286 yards and six touchdowns on the ground.
The rest of the injury report was also released Thursday. Starting outside linebacker Matt Robinson was a new additional to the list, he’ll miss Saturday’s contest with a shoulder injury.
Offensive tackle Nick Klemm (foot), cornerback Jeremiah Johnson (toe), running back Tyler Cerski (calf), kicker Adam Greene (quad) and wide receiver Tyrek Cheeseboro (head) are also listed as out for the game.
Wide receiver Daniel Adams (knee), offensive lineman Silvano Altamirano (back), inside linebacker Cole Farrand (hand), wide receiver Nigel King (back), tight end Dave Stinebaugh (knee) and defensive end Zeke Riser (foot) are listed as probable.
