Route 1 and Knox Road
Tuesday, state, county and university officials announced a collaborative effort for additional safety measures along Route 1.
Officials plan to lower the speed limit along Route 1 between Guilford and Berwyn Road to 25 mph, according to Maryland State Highway Administration Administrator Melinda Peters, along with other projects with support from the SHA, the county and the university.
All of these initiatives come after three pedestrians were killed in the past six months.
