Reasons to watch

1. It’s the freakin’ Final Four!

A Maryland team is in the Final Four again, and this time it’s Missy Meharg’s field hockey squad. It’s the first Final Four trip for the Terps since 2013 as they look for their first national title since 2011.

2. The Rematch

The last time Michigan and Maryland met may have been the best field hockey game of the season. The two teams faced off in Ann Arbor back on Sep. 29, and the Wolverines came away with a dramatic 3-2 victory in double overtime. Michigan’s Emma Way scored with just one second (ONE SECOND!) remaining on the clock in the second overtime period to secure the win.

While that loss dropped the Terps to 6-5, it sparked the team to go on a seven-game winning streak and secure an at-large bid in the NCAA tournament. Now, Maryland gets its shot at revenge.

3. IT’S THE FINAL FOUR!!!

I know I already said this once, but it’s really important.
